Headguards

Roksport Rugby offer a wide range of rugby headguards and scrum caps from leading brands such as Canterbury, Kooga and Optimum.

No matter what level you play at we have headguards for you. We have scrumcaps for both children and adults no matter what position or skill level.

All our rugby head guards are IRB approved. Complying with rule 12 which states that the scrum cap must be made of soft, thin materials. Solid materials, such as plastics, are expressly forbidden.

Headguards have now been adopted not just by players in scrum to avoid cauliflower ear, but also by other positions on the pitch in order to protect against cuts and bruises to the head during heavy tackles or falls. Lightly padded headgear such as a scrum cap greatly reduces the pain that occurs when players knock heads.
